Bar Fifty Three
Opened in June 2015 and operated by The Lore Group, Bar Fifty Three is named after the year Hugh Hefner published the first issue of Playboy. Its décor and ambiance reflects a 1950s and 1960s aesthetic with rich leather booths and midcentury modern furnishings. The art and photographs on the walls reflect the early Playboy aesthetic.
Bar Fifty Three is not only the perfect place to celebrate the legacy of Playboy, but a place to celebrate the history of cinema altogether. Featuring drinks such as the Norma Desmond (rum, Grand Poppy liqueur and kumquats) and the Strip (mezcal, lemon juice and pineapple), the leather-trimmed lounge feels like taking a step back into Old Hollywood. (Actress Kate Beckinsale once helped create one of Bar Fifty Three's cocktails.)
The bar is located at 8909 W. Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood, California and is open Friday and Saturday, 9:00 p.m. - 1:45 a.m.
